Our sister company, Ford Hastings was set up 10 years ago to support our transactions. The principal Tim Hastings was previously head of Search and Selection for KPMG (North West) and following Sarbanes-Oxley the large Big4 firms of accountants were advised to divest of some of their ancillary services. Tim joined us to set up a bespoke search and selection service concentrating on Non-Executives and Board level appointments.
Ford Hastings formed the ‘Portfolio Group’ in 2008 consisting of over 300 Non-Execs and Chairmen and wherever possible Triskell draws on this experience and expertise when advising clients on growing, mentoring and selling. It is said that ‘it is not what you know but who you know’ and this resource has proved invaluable in identifying buyers, grooming client companies and presenting opportunities.
Ford Hastings acts for Venture Capital companies and their investee companies and has a reputation for providing proven senior management, board level and non-executive candidates that are not available in the wider market.
In addition it works with growing entrepreneurial businesses such as My Protein where it introduced the Managing Director, Finance Director and Operations Director in time for its sale to the Hut Group for 60m in June 2011.
The Triskell team used Ford Hastings to identify a CEO, CFO, Chairman and CTO for one mentoring assignment helping to make the company market ready and thereby allowing the vendor to exit fully and take 100% of the proceeds off the table. In other cases the input has been at Board level and on a current assignment Triskell have used this service to appoint a market expert as a Non-Exec and a world class Chairman to the Board.

These analyse the market, competition and show the current trends across each industry sector as well as providing detailed M&A activity and valuation trends. In addition Terry works alongside our team when we mentor or advise clients on exit opportunities and the in house detailed due diligence expertise adds value throughout the process.
Our experience in transaction support provided by Anthony Richardson and the project management of the completion process is invaluable. We understand what financial due diligence means, what the buyer expects and we prepare our clients and all data accordingly ensuring a streamlined completion process.
For management due diligence we partner ourselves with the Quinn Partnership and for political due diligence we have a strong relationship with GK Strategy both of whom we have worked with in many mentoring and exit situations.
